One night I had a dream. It was 5am, and I couldn’t sleep because I was tossing and turning thinking about quarantine.
When I finally managed to fall asleep, I had an incredible dream. I was surrounded by beautiful wilderness in the middle of nowhere, walking on dark sand heading towards the ocean. I took a deep breath, and I felt a sense of freedom that I’ve never felt in my life.
When I woke up, the first thing I thought was: “Where was this mystical place that led me to feel this freedom?”
Call me crazy, but after doing some research about where this magical dark-sanded location could be, I bought a ticket to Lanzarote.
With whom, you ask? Just me, myself and I.
I highly recommend travelling alone sometimes. It helps you reconnect with your true self, push yourself out of your comfort zone, get creative and immerse yourself in experiences that you could have never imagined.
When I just landed in Lanzarote, I was taken aback by the natural surroundings. The island is made of volcanic landscapes, lava fields, rocks in impossible formations, black and red earth contrasting with whitewashed houses, deep blue sea and light blue sky.
No fancy restaurants, no glamorous beach clubs. Lanzarote is perfect for those who want to stay in touch with nature without any distractions. A silent place to recharge your batteries and meditate surrounded by the power of Mother Earth.
I’m not gonna lie: because it’s a very introspective land, I think a few days are enough. You don’t need to take much – you just need a pair of sneakers, a bikini for your surfing lesson and a comfy sweatshirt for the windy nights!

My final thoughts on Lanzarote
I am still overwhelmed by the beauty I have seen on this uncontaminated island. During my time there I experienced nothing but the unconditional power of Mother Earth – which taught me a few important lessons. I think that every experience happened for a reason. It wasn’t the most glamorous and fun trip I’ve ever had, but it was one of the most meaningful to me.
Our planet is currently facing so many disasters all over the world. The earth is trying to tell us to slow down and completely reevaluate our lifestyles.
What does it mean? It means that our actions determine the status quo of our Earth, and there’s no time for us to live unconsciously.
As an individual, I’m committed to taking small actions to preserve our planet: reduce my consumption of plastic, choose recycled materials, and support sustainable brands with good quality materials and high values. I’ve never believed in drastic changes, but if we all take small steps, we can definitely start a conscious revolution.
Tell me: what would you do to protect your planet?
Let me know what you think! I hope this guide helps you plan your next amazing journey. And please, always listen to your dreams 🙂
Good Vibes Only!
